Brick and Mortar Repointing

Also known as mortar repointing, brickpointing is the process of renewing mortar joints that have broken down and started to fall out from between the bricks. This can be caused by extreme shifts in weather, badly-placed sprinkler systems or leaking water pipes.

We inject new mortar into the joints and when the mortar dries, we level off any extruded mortar to ensure all the joints are of an even height. As with tuckpointing, we will select a specific mortar mix to match the existing finish of the building, and if you have a specific style or colour scheme in mind we will be happy to take this into account.
